Nationally Important Cultural Property
Relating to the thematic kofun landscape of the story, these unearthed objects provide information that allow us to visualize the attire and way of life of the South Kyushu clan leaders buried in these kofuns. They were excavated from a tomb with an underground corridor-style chamber with a horizontal lateral entrance dated from the Middle Kofun period (5th century). The unearthed objects include weapons and armor, daily tools, and fashion ornaments, and are a condensed information source that tells us much about the history of the Kofun period.
