Osahozuka Burial Mound is an imperial mausoleum reference site, and is a significant component of Saitobaru Burial Mounds. It boasts the largest planar-scallop-shaped mounded tomb (mound length: 176m) in Japan, eminently reflecting the prosperity of the Saitobaru Burial Mounds of the Middle Kofun period (5th century).
