Gold-copper horse trappings from the Saitobaru Burial Mounds at Koyu County, Hyuga Province

National treasure
A set of horse trappings originating from the Korean Peninsula. They were unearthed from the area surrounding the Saitobaru Burial Mounds in which a stage of the kofun story is set. This is concrete evidence of diplomacy and exchange in East Asia during the Late Kofun period (6th century).
