A unearthed object that eminently reflects the character of the Ikime Burial Mounds, which is an integral part of the story. The haniwa (ceramic clay figure) excavated from the No. 5 mound is a jar-shaped haniwa. Its body is of a cylindrical form, an unusual form that is unique in the country.
