Mochida burial mounds

One of the burial mounds (kofun) landscapes stretching around the Saitobaru burial mounds area, which represents the core of the Japan Heritage Story. There are 85 kofun tombs and they maintained a stable power throughout the Kofun period (4th-6th centuries). They are located in the town of Takanabe, a designated National Historic Site.
